Dr. Sumit Gupta is a Specialist Orthodontist at Al Hafiz International Hospital, since 13th January 2014. He brings with him over 24 years of clinical experience as a Specialist Orthodontist in the UAE creating beautiful smiles for both children & adults to perfection.

Dr. Sumit’s training includes passing the National Dental Board Examination (USA) in 2003. A Fellowship in Temporomandibular disorders, Orofacial pain & dental sleep Medicine from Roseman University, School of Dental Medicine, Utah USA. (2018) and Masters from Roseman University, School of Dental Medicine, Utah, USA. (2020).

Dr. Sumit has a special interest in treating orthodontic problems for both children and adults using the latest techniques in:

• Traditional metal braces, clear (ceramic) braces & Invisalign (invisible aligners)
• Lingual orthodontics- using lingual braces from the inner side of the teeth
• Self-ligating braces
• Non-extraction treatment
• TMJ disorders
• Micro implant anchorage
• Surgical orthodontics

Dr. Sumit provides special preventive & interceptive orthodontics for children and young adults like

• Habit-breaking appliances for thumb sucking, lip biting, mouth breathing, tongue thrusting
• Space maintainers and space regainers
• Growth modification for skeletal problems in growing children such as headgears, functional jaw orthopedics, fixed functional appliances
• Correction of speech problems like lisp etc.
• Treating patients with cleft lip and palate.

Dr. Sumit is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain and also specializes in the management of all pains of the head, face, and neck. He specialised in the management of TMDs, and sleep disorders like Snoring & Obstructive sleep apnea, and bruxism and is also a Certified Invisalign Provider and Incognito certified Lingual Orthodontist.

In treating children, his philosophy is based on respecting and caring for them using age-appropriate techniques and loving attention. He speaks English, Arabic, Hindi, Gujrati, and Punjabi fluently.
