Dr. Zaki Ahmed is a highly skilled and experienced surgeon with a diverse background in the field of medicine. He began his career by completing an internship at Government Wenlock & Lady Goschen Hospital in Mangalore from March 1992 to March 1993. He then pursued post-graduate training at prestigious institutions such as Government Wenlock Hospital, KMC Hospital in Attavar, and KMC Hospital in Bejai.

Dr. Ahmed’s dedication to patient care led him to work as a Visiting Consultant at Seyyid Madani Charitable Hospital in Ullal, Mangalore, from 1999 to 2002. He also served as a Consultant at Sri Krishna Maternity & Nursing Home in Kasargod from August 1998 to June 2000.
During his career, Dr. Ahmed sought further specialization through training opportunities. He worked as a Trainee Surgeon at notable hospitals, including Baba Ambedkar Hospital, Kurla Baba Hospital, and Jaslok Hospital, all located in Mumbai. He also had the privilege of serving as an Observer at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai.

He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Yenepoya Medical College from July 1998 to March 2003 and from August 2010 to February 2012. Additionally, he worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of General Surgery at Kannur Medical College from January 2005 to July 2010 and as a Professor from February 2012 to May 2013.

Dr. Ahmed has made significant contributions as a consultant surgeon at Marthoma Hospital & Research Centre in Ranni, Tiruvalla, and Mallik Deenar Charitable Hospital in Kasargod. He also worked as a Specialist Surgeon in Saudi Arabia at Wethailan General Hospital in the Riyadh Region under the Ministry of Health from May 2013 to December 2017. Currently, he serves as the Head and Consultant Surgeon at Shabwa General Hospital, a project of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, managed by VPS Health (Burjeel Holdings) in the UAE.
